Developing personal goals, navigating difficult relationships, managing families, facing loss, or coping with stress and unexpected situations… Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, our past can creep up and get in the way, or we find ourselves confronted by new thoughts and emotions that are difficult to understand. That’s when working with a therapist can make all the difference. This is especially important when you are suffering from depression or anxiety, or when symptoms start to get in the way of living the life that you want.
Together we can work to better understand and manage the conflicts or symptoms you may be experiencing and help you feel your best again, in a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment. Therapy provides a safe space to get support, to learn and practice new coping skills, and to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. For couples it is an opportunity to reconnect and communicate in a different, more effective way with someone there to help keep things on track and help you understand conflict from an attachment perspective.
I incorporate a variety of treatment approaches into my work, based on the unique needs and goals of the individual client. I believe that self care, connecting with others, and making meaning in our daily lives are necessary components of emotional health and wellbeing.
